Beth Ann Schroder, Chief Financial Officer
Beth Ann graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA and Masters in Accounting. After graduation, she worked on business acquisitions worldwide for KPMG’s Transaction Services Group and then transitioned to Horizon Software International as their first Strategic and Financial Analyst. While at Horizon, she believed in the values of Global
LEAD so much that she convinced her boss to let her work remotely for five weeks while volunteering on the inaugural LEAD Cape Town program. She instantly fell in love with the mission of Global LEAD as she witnessed the life change of the students. Needless to say, she took her business skills acquired in the corporate world and became the Chief Financial Officer in January 2010.
Eager to witness it again, Beth Ann also took on an international role as Program Director of LEAD Greece in 2010 and 2011. She couldn’t be more thrilled to serve as the Program Director once more for LEAD Greece 2012. In addition to changing lives abroad, Beth Ann believes in the importance of pouring into our own communities, so she volunteers at a homeless shelter designed for families with small children in Atlanta. When she isn’t crunching numbers, she is playing in her vegetable garden, hanging out at the local coffee houses in downtown Decatur, and perfecting her latest Thai recipe for friends. Additionally, as the early riser on the team, Beth Ann sends e-mails hours before the sun rises and often times prior to running out the door for 6:00am boot camp.
Beth Ann lives by the words “The biggest risk in life is not taking one.” She hasn’t looked back since she joined the team and embraced the values of Global LEAD. Feel free to contact Beth Ann at BethAnn@GlobalLEADprogram.org.
