Robbie Reese, CEO
Robbie Reese believes that “there is no passion to be found playing small—in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” If he isn’t training for a 50-mile ultra marathon, living with a family in an impoverished favela of Rio de Janiero or devouring the latest issue of The Economist, Robbie can be found at any local Caribou, sipping coffee and working diligently on the next big idea for Global LEAD.
Robbie graduated from the University of Georgia in 2002 with a degree in both Finance and Real Estate. He quickly accumulated a vast array of corporate knowledge while consulting with Ernst & Young and developing real estate projects with Lane Company. In these capacities, Robbie collaborated with CEO’s of international corporations, motivated teams of development professionals ranging from architects to construction workers and managed over a quarter of a billion dollars worth of apartments and condominium development projects. However, after years in the corporate arena, Robbie decided to hang up his suit and tie, leave his comfortable desk job and pursue something “wow.” He has never looked back.
Robbie created Global LEAD as a way for students to get out of their comfort zones and experience the world while serving others and learning about themselves. Robbie’s corporate know-how and inexhaustible passion to dream bigger make him the perfect person to lead this dynamic, evolving company.
Never one to back away from an opportunity, Robbie is constantly finding new ways to enhance Global LEAD and to challenge himself. After traveling to over 50 countries, volunteering in the slums of Kibera, Kenya, bungee jumping dozens of times, playing home-run derby in the shadow of Cambodia’s Angkor Wat and creating a company that changes lives, you would think that he has done it all, but his bucket list continues growing longer and longer.
