Courtney Doran graduated from the University of Georgia with a dual degree in marketing and public courtneyrelations, and a certificate in leadership. During her time there, she created a college philanthropy for children with HIV/AIDS, which grew to later become the largest in the Southeastern part of the United States. After graduation, she worked in the Marshall Islands, teaching English to first, fourth and sixth grade students through a program called World Teach out of Harvard’s International Development Center. Courtney led the inaugural launch of Global LEAD Cape Town with smashing success, entertaining everyone from Hall of Fame Football Coaches to the Director of the Oxford Conclave on Global Ethics. It is also her passion for service that set up the eye-opening activity where students “Live off $1 a day” and engage in hands on service opportunities in each location around the world. When she is not gallivanting around the globe, or making an impact in the lives of others, she is an extreme sports enthusiast, who is close to her family and still makes time to call her dad each evening. Courtney helps coordinate the programs in each locale as the Director of Global Operations. Courtney can be reached at Courtney@GlobalLeadProgram.org

Beth Ann Schroder graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA and Masters in Accounting. After graduation, she worked in Transaction Services at KPMG working on acquisitions worldwide. She then transitioned to work for Horizon Software International as a Strategic and Financial Analysis where she was able to take 5 weeks off from work to volunteer for Global LEAD on the inaugural study abroad trip to Cape Town. Beth AnnThrough the change she saw in the students studying abroad, she knew that Global LEAD is where she wanted to be. The ability to give students an opportunity to change their perspective and see the world through another’s eyes is something Beth Ann has always been passionate about.  So she took her business skills acquired in the corporate world and became the Director of Domestic Operations in January 2010. In addition to changing lives abroad, Beth Ann believes that serving in her backyard is equally important by volunteering weekly at a local homeless shelter for families with small children. When she isn’t crunching numbers or playing with children, she can be found shipping coffee at the local coffee shop, catching up on the latest business and “positive thinking” blogs, attending boot camp at 6 am, or spending time with her family in the suburbs. Beth Ann manages all corporate operations as the Director of Domestic Operations. Beth Ann can be reached at BethAnn@globalleadprogram.org
