IMPORTANT REMINDERS
1. Login to your LEAD Account to see what has been received and what is outstanding! All documents, flight information, and transient information is past due!!
2. Final Payment is Due April 5, 2010. If you are uncertain about your balance please contact us. Check payments must be postmarked by April 5. If you would prefer to pay by credit card, please email Beth Ann at bethann@globalleadprogram.org by March 24, so that she can send you the invoice and paperwork necessary for the transaction.
3. Mandatory Pre-departure Orientation. Parents are encouraged to attend!

For parents unable to attend, we will be posting the session online on April 12, 2010 and will have conference calls available April 13, at 7:00pm for your convenience. Please check the web site or your child’s LEAD Account for more information.
4. Mandatory READINGS (for Course Credit)
You need to read 3 SHORT articles by April 8thn(for the mandatory meeting). This is super easy, you can access it online, AND all you have to do is write a quick Paragraph reflection of your thougthts for each one and email them in to the professor of record Dr. Sandy Whitney. Its that easy.

2) Choose: Whitney, Sandra (from the Instructor Dropdown menu)
3) Click Search: There are a Zillion articles that are in alphabetical order
4) The 3 articles you need are the following: 1) Body Ritual Among the Nacirema (#24) 2)Doing Fieldwork Among the Yanomamo (# 40) 3) Eating Christmas in the Kalahari (#48)
5) Click on each of the 3…once you select it, choose “full text online”
6) Password: chimp
7) LAST STEP: Read the articles, write up a short 1 paragraphy reflection response to what you read (per article), and EMAIL your 3 responses (3 paragraphs in total) to Dr. Sandy Whitney at FCID3900S@gmail.com
4. Mandatory MEETING (for Course Credit)
There are 2 required meetings for UGA students with the service learning professor prior to departure. The first session has three different options that you can choose from; pick whatever hour block is most convenient for you. Please look for an email announcing the exact location of the meetings.
All Students Meeting # 1 April 8th: 3:00-4:00pm, 4:00-5:00pm, or 5:00-6:00pm (Come for 1 hour)

Cape Town Students Meeting # 2: April 14th: 2:00-3:00pm, 3:00-4:00pm, 4:00-5:00pm (Come for 1 hour)
LOCATION: Caldwell Hall Room # 105
Greece Students Meeting #2: April 15 4:00-5:00pm (This is the only time it is offered)
