What is LEAD Base Camp?

 

The passage from high school to college is one of the most exciting and challenging times in young adult life.  The newfound freedom, sense of possibility and transition from living at home to being on your own is at the same time exhilarating and daunting.  LEAD Base Camp is designed specifically for students in this stage of life with two main goals: (1) prepare students for the challenges of college life and set them up to make the most of their undergraduate career and (2)  equip them with the moral courage to cling tight to their core values and personal purpose in the face of adversity.

 

After successfully working with university students and young professionals since 2008, Global LEAD is excited about this new opportunity to work with younger students. The international experience has proven to be an incredible place for genuine growth. Our students return home energized and more confident in their leadership abilities, strengths and values.  The  experience of leading and serving in a foreign country out of one’s comfort zone fosters a greater understanding of the importance of being a servant leader and serves as inspiration to an impact in their own community.  Global LEAD students also return home with a strong, lasting support system within the Global LEAD Family.
