Ecuador Group Flights

 

Global LEAD is committed to assisting all our students with their travel arrangements to Ecuador. Though group flights are not always the cheapest option (group flights are priced based on an average of all flight prices), there are  significant advantages to flying with the group:

 

• Traveling thousands of miles away from home can be long and sometimes intimidating, but having familiar faces all around you makes it much more enjoyable.

 

• There will be staff on the flight with the students to help answer any questions.

 

• Global LEAD will be at the airport to greet all students on the group flight (if students choose to book their own flight, we will help students arrange transportation from the airport to our accommodation).

 

Flight Itinerary Going to Ecuador

 

Delta 673: Atlanta to Quito on July 1, 2012

Departing Atlanta at 5:30PM

Arriving in Quito at 9:50PM

Delta 680: Quito to Atlanta on July 28, 2012

Departing Quito at 11:30PM

Arriving in Atlanta at 6:00AM (July 29, 2012)

 

Cost: $1900

 

This cost includes taxes and fees; however, the airline reserves the right to change the cost of fuel, taxes and fees up until the time of ticketing (mid-March). Airlines say that changes in the fees are “rare”; however, last year we did experience a fuel hike that added an additional $100 to each flight. If there is any change in cost you will be notified you immediately. Please note that each participant in the group flight is responsible for any additional changes that occur at the time of ticketing.

 

Payment

Non-Refundable Deposit: $500 (Required to reserve your seat)

Final Payment Due: March 23, 2012

Please reference Global LEAD’s financial policy regarding group flight payments and refunds.

 

Reserving Your Seat

 

Reserve a seat by submitting your deposit for the group flight. Seats on the group flight are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.  You will receive a confirmation email once your deposit has been received

 

Online Payment Instructions

1. Click here to on Make a Payment.
2. Select the icon for the LEAD Ecuador Group Flight.
3. Click “Proceed to check out.”
4. Click “Continue” under “I’m a new customer” to register, or fill in your credentials if you have made a credit card payment previously using the online shopping cart. If you forget your password, please emailBethAnn@GlobalLEADprogram.org to reset it.
5. Follow the step by step instructions on Netsuite to complete your payment.

 

Notes

 

Parents: Please use your student’s email address in order to make a payment on their behalf. Also, please use your student’s name when registering them with Netsuite.

Students: Please use the email address in which you receive Global LEAD emails from in order to avoid duplication of your account.

Credit Card Payments: Visa, Mastercard, and Discover are accepted. Remember that a 3.5% processing fee will be added to all online payments.

Terms and Conditions:

1. Student cannot use skymiles towards the group flight; however, students will earn miles on their flight. They can apply for miles once they have their ticket number in April.

2. This flight does not qualify for Skymiles upgrades.

3. For baggage allowances please refer to the Delta and KLM web sites for the most up-to-date information

4. Students will receive an electronic ticket in April.

5. If students have special food requests or needs please contact the airline directly to make arrangements.

6. Deviations are allowed for a fee and the difference in ticket cost. If you need to deviate, please contact Joe Dendy at fivestarvacations@comcast.net to put in your request. CopyCourtney@GlobalLEADprogram.org in on the email. Also, please note that Global LEAD will not be responsible for your housing beyond the group flight/program dates.

 

If you choose to book your own flight:

1. Students are not required to take the group flight, but are highly encouraged to do so

2. Students should still book their flight as soon as possible. Students will be required to log their flight details by March 16, 2012 on the Global LEAD website. (The link will be available starting February 14, 2012)
